Glenda Allaway is an award-winning harpist recognised for her outstanding musicianship. As a full time professional harpist, she performs across the country for solo recitals, orchestral engagements and corporate functions alike.
Her work has taken her to some of the UK’s most exciting venues including the Royal Albert Hall, the Queen’s rowbarge — the Gloriana — and Birmingham Symphony Hall. Some more adventurous performances include a residency in Heathrow Terminal 5 and a Thunderbirds themed performance in collaboration with ITV.
Having accidentally fallen into playing the harp, Glenda is passionate about creating opportunities and bringing the harp to a wider audience. She takes her classical training from world-renowned harpist, Gabriella Dall’Olio, and combines it with a love of exploring new genres to continually take harp playing to new heights.
In 2019, she hopes it create as many first harp-encounters as possible!
